Heliconia also called crab’s claws standout among spectacular tropical beauties, was discoved in 1786 and originate from forsests of Central and South America. The pendulous flowers grow to a height of 5m in wild and indoors it reaches about 30cm with its width over 50cm long. There are over 200 species of Heliconia and come in eye catching colours ranging from striking shades of pink, red, yellow, orange to hints of green. Heliconia flowers are large, hanging, well known cut foliage used for landscaping which can last up to 2 weeks.
